A limited edition snare drum made with a rare Japanese cedar veneer for a drum shell. Cedar wood is used for a wide range of purposes, including building materials, furniture, and crafts, and because of its light and soft nature, it has a sweet, fat tone.

■Japanese cedar veneer swirl-processed shell

Cedar wood is molded into an 8mm thick veneer shell, and sound focus rings made of the same material are attached to the top and bottom edges of the inside of the shell, increasing the rigidity of the shell without compromising the excellent vibration characteristics of the veneer shell, achieving a quick sound rise.

The outside of the shell is finished with a three-dimensional, beautiful appearance that brings out the grain by hand, using a traditional Japanese woodworking technique called "Uzukuri".
