Nippon Seiki Defi Meter Defi-Link ADVANCE BF Oil Pressure Gauge Amber Red Product Overview


The Defi-Link Meter ADVANCE BF (Advance BF) is a link meter used with the Defi-Link Advance Control Unit SE.

The "BF" stands for "black face," a designation given to meters whose dials are completely dark and invisible when the ignition is off.

The BF-type meter lights up when the ignition is turned on, allowing the letters and scales to be seen clearly even in the daytime.


*Requires the separately sold Defi-Link ADVANCE Control Unit SE for use.

*Up to seven meters can be connected to a single ADVANCE Control Unit.


■Oil Pressure Gauge

Engine lubrication is essential for sporty driving, which often requires high RPMs. The oil pressure gauge checks whether engine oil is being thoroughly pumped throughout the engine and the oil's deterioration status.

Whether oil pressure is normal or not has a huge impact on the engine, and a sudden drop in oil pressure, especially at high RPMs, can mean the engine is on the verge of destruction.

A good guideline for normal oil pressure is generally 100-500kPa while driving when the engine is clean and there is an appropriate amount of oil.

However, oil pressure will vary depending on the vehicle model, oil, and engine tune, so remembering the normal oil pressure can be used as a guide to whether it is normal or not.
