■New stylus with improved high-frequency characteristics

In the 10X5 MKII, the shape of the stylus tip has been changed from the conventional oval to a Shibata needle type III with line contact, and the cantilever has also been upgraded to a hard aluminum pipe. Compared to conventional oval needles, the ability to follow the grooves of records has been greatly improved, realizing music playback with higher resolution than ever before.

■High output MC cartridge

High-output MC cartridges are made possible by the unique winding technology developed by Dynavector. By winding ultra-fine wire multiple times around the coil bobbin, an output voltage of 2.8 mV is achieved without the need for a head amplifier or step-up transformer. We are ensuring. Its appeal is that it can be used in the same way as an MM cartridge, while maintaining the superior sound quality of an MC cartridge. The recommended load resistance is 1,000Ω or more, and it is normally connected to the PHONO input terminal of the MM position of the 47KΩ amplifier.

■Original magnetic circuit theory (patented)

All Dynavector models are equipped with a "flux damper" that eliminates the interference of magnetic flux fluctuations in the air gap that affect the playback sound of MC cartridges, and powerful rare earth magnets such as samarium cobalt magnets and neodymium magnets. It uses a "softened magnet (patented)" that reduces internal resistance. As a result, there is no "harshness" that is common with MC cartridges, and the playback sound is natural and smooth, allowing you to fully enjoy the goodness of analog.

■Adopts neodymium magnet

The MC cartridge 10X5 MKII uses a conventional neodymium magnet to ensure the same usable output voltage as the MM cartridge.

■Wide compatibility

The newly adopted machined aluminum head block allows for strong attachment to the head shell. Compliance 12mm/N and total weight 7.5g fits most tonearms on the market. The recommended load resistance is 1,000Ω or more, and 47KΩ for MM input is usually fine.
