Description

Equipped with the highest quality sound source worthy of a flagship model, all the functions necessary for stage performance are placed on the panel for intuitive operation.

Equipped with 7 sound engines

The Grandstage X is equipped with 7 sound engines, each of which could stand on its own as a standalone product. Its greatest features are the variety of tones and uncompromising quality worthy of a top model of stage piano.

Highest quality piano and electric piano sounds "SGX-2" and "EP-1"

Equipped with the acoustic piano sound source "SGX-2" that contains a large amount of world-famous pianos. The SGX-2 sound source contains non-looped samples for all keys, and also has up to 12 velocity switches, damper resonance that reproduces the sound when the pedal is pressed, and even mechanical noise, achieving the delicate and powerful expressiveness of an acoustic piano at the highest level.

Grandstage X comes with 13 main pianos, including six famous grand pianos selected from German, Italian, and Japanese styles. The newly installed GSX Piano and Nautilus Piano allow you to mix close and far mics, and by layering with GSX Far Piano and Nautilus Far Piano, you can create your favorite piano ambience.

Other piano sounds include the familiar upright piano and small grand piano, the OASYS Piano that is popular in band ensembles, the famous SG1D Korg stage piano, the M1 Piano that is essential for 80's and 90's POPS, and even the fortepiano, a period instrument, so you can get piano sounds that suit any situation.

In addition, in response to requests from many professional players, three mono pianos and a variation of tones focused on the mid-range are available. This mono piano sound, voiced from a dedicated mono recording source, and the piano sound that does not interfere with the frequency range of other instruments in a band ensemble provide overwhelming sound clarity and harmony within the band.

The electric piano sound source "EP-1" adds Tine I Early, a representative model that strikes metal bars (tines). The earthy, distorted sound can reproduce the sound that can be heard on records of the time. In addition, Tine I Late, Tine II, Tine V, DMP, and 200 and 200A, which strike a diaphragm (reed), are included, for a total of seven vintage electric piano sounds. MDS (Multi-Dimensional Synthesis) technology, an evolution of the concept of velocity switching, responds smoothly to even the most delicate keyboard touches. The sound design is perfectly simulated with realistically reproduced amplifiers, cabinets, and vintage effects, and the German EP and Tablet EP are available, which are sure to please any enthusiast.

Three unique organ sound sources: "CX-3", "VOX", and "FC-1". The tonewheel organ sound source "CX-3" perfectly reproduces the famous KORG combo organ released in 1980. The transistor organ sound source "VOX" reproduces the sound of the VOX organ, which was released in the 1960s and had a major impact on Western popular music. The other transistor organ sound source "FC-1" reproduces a small organ that, along with the VOX organ, was all the rage in that era. By combining it with the rotary speaker effect and vibrato effect built into the sound source, you can fully enjoy the thrill of playing the organ. A rich variety of sounds: "AL-1" and "HD-1"

The Grandstage X boasts a total of 700 sound programs, and in addition to the five sound engines mentioned above, it also has the analog modeling sound source "AL-1" that realizes clear leads and thick brass sounds, and the PCM sound source "HD-1" that covers a wide range of tones. In particular, the HD-1 contains a large number of distinctive keyboard instrument sounds, such as the 8-step multi-sampled Clavi D and Clavi E, the 6-step multi-sampled electric grand piano, the FM electric piano with its unique metallic sound, the harpsichord, and the pipe organ.

Beautiful design worthy of a flagship model

The Grandstage X has a distinctive design that is immediately recognizable. The painted, sturdy aluminum body is designed with smooth curves, and the curved parts that rise from the bottom to the sides are made of punched metal. The design, with its light ivory white top panel that combines a vintage feel with a futuristic feel, has an overwhelming presence.

This unique appearance is unique because, unlike acoustic instruments, electronic instruments can be freely designed, and the designers hope that people will choose it based on its visual appearance, rather than judging it by its color or brand logo.

Key touch slider that enhances the possibilities of expression

The key touch slider allows you to instantly control the change in volume and tone depending on the strength of the keystrokes, allowing you to customize the playing feel of the keyboard in real time to suit your individual playing style and music. Even though the tone is the same, just by moving this slider, you can get the feeling that you are playing a different tone, so by finding the appropriate position that suits your playing style, you can further bring out the potential of the Grandstage X.

Layer and split for easy assignment of 3 parts

The part control section features three buttons and sliders neatly arranged. You can use layer and split just by pressing the on/off button, and adjust the volume balance as you like by moving the slider. The program name of each part is displayed in a list on the display and can be easily changed. Since layer and split can be used simultaneously, for example, you can set up a piano and strings layer on the right hand and a bass on the left hand.

Warm sound with Nutube

The analog tone function provides the analog sound effect unique to the vacuum tube of Nutube. It provides both a moderate sense of compression and distortion, making it ideal for EP-1 and organ sound sources. You can turn the effect on or off with the ON/OFF button and adjust the amount of effect with the knob, so try finding the sound you like.

Effects and equalizers to shape the sound

Reverb and delay, which are essential for emotional keyboard playing, are installed as master effects. Shimmer reverb has also been newly added. Of course, you can instantly switch effect types and adjust the depth on the panel. It also comes equipped with a 3-band equalizer that allows you to adjust the overall character of the sound to suit the acoustic characteristics of the live venue.

Unison function to easily create a thick sound

The unison function is familiar in analog synths, but unique for a stage piano. By adding it to synth sounds or FM piano, you can get an outstanding effect with a wide chorus-like sound. You can also adjust the number of overlapping sounds with the unison slider.

Rhythm and chord progression function to support solo performances

The Grandstage X is equipped with a rhythm and chord progression function that is an evolution of the drum track function built into synthesizers.

You can play along with the chords you play, which is made up of a full-fledged rhythm track consisting of drums and bass, or along with a pre-set chord progression, so you can use the Grandstage X for performances alone or for personal practice.
