Be sure to get your hands on the limited edition color model microKORG 2, which is designed with great attention to design and operability.

A new origin.

The microKORG has stood on many legendary stages, producing powerful synth sounds from its small body. The microKORG was also present at the moment when many famous songs that have made waves around the world were born. This timeless classic has evolved even further and is now available.

The iconic parts remain the same, such as the portable size of the mini keyboard, the large dial for selecting the program genre, the five knobs for shaping the sound, and the gooseneck microphone extending from the center. The color display in the center of the control panel and the visually pleasing graphical display have made intuitive editing a major step forward. It also comes equipped with a vocal processor and loop recorder, making it suitable for the music scene of the future.

When people around the world want a synthesizer, this is the first thing they think of.

When they want to play a synthesizer, this is the first thing they want to play.

The new standard, the new microKORG 2.

■ Inheritance and innovation of the user interface

The user interface inherits the user interface that allows you to quickly obtain the sound you want by selecting programs by music genre and editing them with five knobs. In addition, the bank selector now has the new concepts of Classic, Modern, and Future to capture the sounds of each changing era.

The visually pleasing and beautiful edit screen displayed on the 2.8-inch color display in the center of the control panel is another attraction of the microKORG 2. You can get an overview of the parameters corresponding to each of the five knobs at once, and intuitively grasp the state of the parameter you are touching through animation, allowing for stress-free editing. You can also switch to an oscilloscope display with one touch, which allows you to understand the current state of sound creation at a glance.

The UI inherits the basic workflow while incorporating new technologies that are only possible now, and is designed to allow both past and future users to intuitively edit deep into the details.

■ Newly developed vocal processor

The microKORG is known for its synthesizers with microphones. The reason it became a long-selling product was that you could easily enjoy the coveted robot voice that was difficult to achieve without a dedicated machine, using the included microphone.

We have developed a new vocal processor to further evolve the synthesis using a microphone, which is one of the attractions of the microKORG. In addition to the vocoder, it is equipped with a hard tune that corrects the pitch of vocals, which has now become a standard vocal effect, and a harmonizer that allows you to layer a voice with a shifted pitch of the original voice. You can also apply effects such as reverb and delay to the output from the vocal processor.

Enjoy the vocal sound of your dreams with the new microKORG 2 by using the included dedicated gooseneck microphone with a metal neck.

■Improved real-time performance with the loop recorder

To enable real-time performance unique to synths, the loop recorder allows you to create backing tracks by looping a certain section and overlaying your own performance. With three dedicated buttons for record, play/stop, and undo/redo, anyone can easily use loop recording.

The settings for recording and playback are displayed by simply pressing and holding each button, and the UI is organized so that you can easily master the looper once you've used it.

Of course, there is also an arpeggiator that can be turned on/off using the eight program number buttons.

Make full use of the loop recorder and arpeggiator to find your own best performance.

■New synth sounds that travel through time

In addition to program selection based on music genres, in order to incorporate new sounds as well as classic sounds, a new concept of bank selection that is in line with the times, classic, modern, and future, has been introduced to the bank selection, proposing that you can choose classic, modern, and future sounds of each music genre according to your preference. Eight programs are preset for each of the eight genre categories contained in the three banks, and 64 programs can be saved in the user bank.

The microKORG is a virtual analog synth that models analog circuits. One of the characteristics of virtual analog synths is that there is no restriction on physical circuit configuration, so there is a wide degree of freedom in sound creation. This flexibility allows you to realize timeless sounds such as classic, modern, and future.

The patch function familiar from sound creation with analog circuits is also compactly installed as a virtual patch, allowing you to quickly check the patching on a graphical screen and create deep and detailed sounds.

■Modern update of the microKORG's iconic design

The iconic parts of the microKORG, such as the basic design of the housing, the layout of the control panel, the green silk screen printing, and the shape of the knobs, have been kept intact, but the design has been updated to be more modern.

The color display, which is also a new feature, is placed in the center, and the entire control panel is recessed, increasing the sense of immersion when playing and creating sounds.

The body is finished in an exquisite metallic color that accentuates the three-dimensional shape, and the side panels are finished with a black stone-grain paint that gives it the robustness of a tool that will be used for a long time.

■Significantly more powerful effects

In order to maximize the range of synth sounds, three new effect systems have been developed: nine types of modulation, including dynamics, six types of delay, and reverb. The three effects can be turned on and off independently, and the effect intensity can be adjusted individually with wet/dry.

In addition, the output that has passed through the effects is sent to a two-band parametric EQ that allows you to adjust the low and high frequencies, allowing you to adjust the character of the final sound, so you can complete your sound creation using only the main unit without using an external mixer or effecter.

■Natural touch mini keyboard that is easy to play even in its small size

By adjusting the ratio of black and white keys, it is easier to hold chords, and we have adopted a natural touch mini keyboard that pursues a touch that makes it easier to play fast phrases. The high-quality box-shaped keys make it easy to glissando.

In addition, the octave shift button, which is essential for a 37-key keyboard, is located in the perfect position for playing, so you can concentrate on playing without worrying about settings.

■Compatible with battery operation for easy portability

In addition to the included AC adapter, it can also be operated with six AA batteries, and with a convenient size of 54.2 cm wide and weighing 2.1 kg (main unit only, excluding batteries and microphone), you can take it anywhere you like and play it freely.

■BLINKSONIC°

BLINKSONIC° is a project by French designer and musician Sylvain Stoppani, and offers virtual instruments mainly based on Native Instruments' REAKTOR.

The 2D graphic design of the BLINKSONIC° plug-in aims to connect musicians and sound devices more interactively through various symbols, illustrations, and abstract icons.

Since 2015, the BLINKSONIC° lineup has continued to expand, and it has been praised for both its artistic and rich sound and its elaborate GUI interface.

Sylvain Stoppani was approached by KORG as the GUI designer for the new microKORG 2, and this collaboration was realized. The collaboration aims to develop a visual language that allows intuitive understanding of the synthesizer's parameters and makes the sound creation and performance experience on the microKORG 2 as fun, understandable, and deep as possible.

■Free music software bundle

The microKORG 2 comes with a wide range of music software, including Ozone Elements, which not only lets you create songs but also uses AI to master them, Skoove, which helps you improve your keyboard playing, and even software synths from KORG and other brands.

In other words, by getting this product, you'll have access to a variety of tools to take your music to the next level.
