STIFF PLATE FRONT

Product Number: 50260-JW5-000


The S660's front is a monocoque structure without a subframe. However, as shown in the image, the OEM gusset plates at the lower arm mounting points are not strong enough, resulting in twisting, especially during hard braking and rolling.

To address this issue, we created a rigid plate that integrates the front lower arms with the body.

By integrating the suspension and body into a single box, like a subframe, we achieve direct and stable handling.

First, we performed CAE analysis of the body and designed it using SPOON's unique design and development methods. Based on this, we designed a custom press mold using 3D CAD and machined it in a machining center.

The material used is 2mm thick JSC780 ultra-high-tensile steel, normally only used in chassis frameworks, and it was formed using an 800t hydraulic press.

The finish is the same as the OEM CATHOLIC finish.


REMARKS

Installation is as simple as removing and replacing the OEM plates and bars. The OEM underpanel can be installed without any modification.
