[Notice regarding the appearance of TAMA HP50 The Classic Pedal]

The pedal plate and frame used in this product are easily scratched due to the surface finish (plate: full hairline finish, frame: shot blast).

This is also the case when shipped from the factory.

There is no problem with use or performance, so please use it with confidence.

Drum performances can be performed with complex and technical play that receives applause from the audience, but a simple and minimal approach can also give the listener a moving impression. The same is true for the relationship between the instrument and the drummer. Conversely, simple equipment can stimulate the drummer's creativity and lead to great performances.

The Classic Pedal is a pedal created in pursuit of sophisticated simplicity for drummers who want such an approach.

The simple and lightweight footboard is designed to be easy to use for any playing style. The exquisite weight balance realizes a straightforward and natural feel and response that transmits the player's strength and nuances directly to the bass drum. In addition, it is equipped with unique functions such as a spring post that allows you to adjust the tension while sitting on the stool and checking the feel, and a height adjustment that accurately captures the center of the head even on small-diameter bass drums.

Contrary to the looks reminiscent of vintage pedals, this simple structure is packed with the essence of the technology that TAMA has cultivated in the development of drum pedals to date, and is the arrival of a modern "classic pedal."

・Center Strike Height Adjust

・Easy Access Spring Adjustment

This pedal has a mechanism that allows you to adjust the height of the beater's striking point, which is convenient when using a small-diameter bass drum such as an 18". Operation is simple, and the frame post can be extended and retracted by simply operating the two square-headed bolts on the side of the frame with a drum key. You can hit the center of the bass drum head with the beater without using a bass drum lifter or shortening the beater shaft unnaturally.

・Smooth Surface Footboard

The spring post, which is usually installed vertically, extends toward the top of the pedal, giving it a unique look that is actually a common feature of vintage pedals, making it easier to access the spring. You can change the spring tension while checking the feel of the pedal without removing it from the bass drum. This post can be folded toward you by loosening the T-nut on the side to make it compact for carrying.

・Smooth Surface Footboard

The newly designed vintage-style pedal plate has a simple structure to reduce weight. It has a smooth surface and is designed to be suitable for any drum playing style.

・The Classic Beater

Uses a bale-shaped beater. The hitting surface is slightly tapered, and by hitting the head evenly, it creates a warm, grainy sound. The classical design with no exposed screws or other parts is also a point of attention.

・Individual Adjustment of Beater & Footboard Angle

By loosening and adjusting the square head bolt at the base of the spring with a drum key, the beater angle can be adjusted steplessly in conjunction with the angle of the footboard. Furthermore, by changing the mounting position of the tip of the chain and the cam, it is possible to change only the angle of the footboard.

・Compact Folding Design

The spring post is designed to be foldable, so it can be stored and carried compactly. The operation is very simple. Just loosen the T-nut on the side and bend the post toward you to secure it. It also has the effect of freeing the tension of the spring when not in use.

Easy-Tight Hoop Clamp

The clamp that secures the pedal to the bass drum is operated by tightening a T-bolt from the side of the pedal. This allows you to attach and remove the pedal quickly and easily.
