To mark the 40th anniversary of the series' release, the YAMAHA BB has been redesigned for the first time in seven years.

The design has been revised to create a sophisticated and modern design while retaining the atmosphere typical of the BB series. The slim body shape also improves playability. In addition, we have adopted a new 3-ply (3-layer) structure body and miter bolting neck joint to thoroughly improve the body sound.

In addition to improving the efficiency of string vibration and body vibration, durability has also been improved, resulting in a slim yet tough bass that sounds well. Furthermore, it is equipped with a newly developed pickup, achieving clear sound with even more presence while maintaining the powerful, thick bass that is the hallmark of the BB series. This is a model equipped with an active circuit that can be switched to passive.
