Live18 is machined from an aluminum block using high-precision processing machines. Unlike cast aluminum, the regularity of aluminum's molecular structure is maintained, resulting in high rigidity. (Please note that there may be slight cutting marks on the product.)

・18 mechanical shorting positions When you drop an egg on the floor, the side that hits the floor will break, but the other side will not break. This is because the impact that falls on the floor is transmitted through the curves of the eggshell and is canceled out by colliding with the vertices of all the curves (mechanical shorting position). Live18 applies this phenomenon. We created 18 mechanical shorting positions. Up until now, efforts have been made to eliminate the vibrations of phono cartridges by laminating dissimilar metals together or making the shell thicker, but none of them have provided a fundamental solution. Live18 actively cancels cartridge vibration based on this mechanical short concept. The result is a wide range of transparent, natural, and dynamic sound.

・Special parts

Live18 uses high-purity oxygen-free copper wire for the included lead wire, the finger rest has a non-resonant shape, and the weight of the product that combines these is 12g, making it the perfect weight to combine with any tone arm or cartridge.
